COVID-19 response commander Jeroen Weimar said Victoria's testing system had returned to its usual efficiency.
"Just on 94 per cent of (PCR) results were back the next day," he said. "So we are back to having a fast testing system and I would encourage people to keep the testing going."
Mr Weimar also said the availability of rapid antigen tests would again increase this week.
"There have been 2.2 million RAT distributed in the last couple weeks," he said. "You can get RATs at testing sites (if you are symptomatic).
"We are seeing a growing availability (of RATs) in the testing system but also at supermarkets and other retailers, We will be allocating another eight million this week alone and 4.5 million have are already with schools ready for them to open on Monday.
"From next week, student and staff at primary, secondary and specialist schools will do twice a week RAT surveillance to an keep eye on the level of COVID moving through communities."

The planned pop-up vaccination clinic for Kennignton Primary School has been moved to the state-run clinic in Mollison Street.

About 200 students were booked to be vaccinated at Kennington PS. All bookings scheduled for the Kennington PS site will be honoured at Mollison Street.
