The Goers were able to defend their score of 7-126 against a Redbacks' side that had been in terrific form in first XI action.
Marquee player Nikhil Deep Pottabathini, from Premier Cricket club Carlton, had a huge impact for the Goers.
He opened the batting and made a lively 24 off 16 balls and then took 4-23 with the ball.
Bailey George (28 off 22 balls) was the leading scorer for Bendigo.
The best bowler for the Redbacks was impressive young leg-spinner Henry Edwards, who took 2-14 from his four overs.

Bendigo United skipper Clayton Holmes (28 off 16 balls) gave his side a bright start, but once he fell the Redbacks lost momentum against some tight bowling.
From 0-29 after three overs, the Redbacks slipped to 3-48 off nine overs.
Jayden Templeton and Riley Treloar set about rebuilding the innings.
With 36 balls remaining the Redbacks required 40 runs - a manageable equation - but that quickly changed when Pottabathini returned to the bowling crease.
In the space of 10 deliveries off his own bowling, Pottabathini removed Treloar (14), Templeton (41), Miggy Podosky (4) and Tom Starr (3).
That knocked the stuffing out of the Redbacks and their young tailenders were left with an equation of 19 runs off 10 balls.
They fell seven runs short at 8-119.
Bendigo has a perfect 2-0 record from two games to put itself right in the mix in pool one.
Bendigo United has one win and one loss from its two matches.
