MAIL delivery and services have been suspended at the Epsom Post Office after a staff member tested positive to COVID-19.
In a note to customers, staff confirmed they had been contacted by a public health officer on Sunday, December 12.
"We have been advised that a postal retail officer has tested positive to COVID-19," the note said.
"The officer was infectious Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10.
"With this information, Epsom LPO has to be closed and mail delivery suspended."
It continued to say all staff had been asked to get tested and return to work once they received a negative result.
They said all staff were double vaccinated.

The number of active coronavirus cases in Greater Bendigo has gone up by seven as the region records nine new cases in the last 24 hours.
There is no indication yet as to how many - if any at all - of the 65 active cases are related to the recent exposure sites which drew large crowds to Bendigo Health testing facilities on Sunday.
The new cases take the region's total number of coronavirus cases since the pandemic began to 941.
In some good news, the Loddon Shire is officially COVID free, as they record zero cases in the last day and currently has no active cases.
Mount Alexander Shire also recorded zero news cases, but still has 13 active cases.
Sadly, the Macedon Ranges has recorded 12 new cases bringing it's total active cases to 42.
Both Buloke Shire and Campaspe Shire recorded an additional new case in the last 24 hours.

Testing sites across Greater Bendigo were more packed than usual on Sunday following several coronavirus exposures at local public venues.
The exposure sites included Bendigo Stadium, a local swim school and a local primary school.
A Bendigo Health spokesperson confirmed 915 COVID-19 tests were conducted across the walk-in and drive-through sites.
This comes shortly after children aged five to eleven were approved to receive the Pfizer vaccination from January 10 next year.
More than 95 per cent of eligible Bendigonians are double vaccinated and the hospital has begun rolling out its booster shot program - already having delivered 2000 shots.

IN A slight rise following the weekend, Victoria has recorded 1,290 new cases of coronavirus.
Two people have died in the last 24 hours and there are currently more than 11,000 active cases.
There was 3,266 vaccinations administered at state-run clinics yesterday which means 92 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus.
Seventy seven Victorians are in the ICU and 40 on ventilators.
There were more than 55,000 test conducted in the last 24 hours.
As of Sunday, the Greater Bendigo region had 58 active cases.
In other news, there has been a high fire danger warning forecast for central Victoria today, as the Mallee and Wimmera region both have fire bans declared.
