Suns Red will travel to Trentham to go head-to-head against Ballarat in the central Victoria FIDA conference grand final.
Bendigo Suns chair Daniel Wridgway said the club expected a premiership tilt from Ballarat.
"We didn't beat Ballarat in the regular home/away season, as they're a very strong side," he said.
"Ballarat has come from a conference where they had premiership success which means they are a very strong outfit."
However, there's no challenge which the Suns won't rise to and come game time they will be ready to give it their all.
At this stage the weather could play a major deciding factor in the premiership match.
"It's forecast to be very wet and windy which means anything could happen," Wridgway said.
He said the greatest thing for the Suns this season was the overall development.
"The personal growth of each player and overall skill development as a team has been great," he said.
"Especially as we had so many new participants, in particular an increase in female participation, this year which allowed us to have two teams."
Suns Red finished the regular season second on the ladder behind Ballarat with a 2-1-1 record.
They head into the premiership match on the back of a convincing win last weekend over Rupertswood (61-14).
Meanwhile, the club's second team Bendigo Yellow had an 85-55 win over Kyneton ahead of their 3v4 match against Rupertswood.
Upon reflection Wridgway couldn't be happier with how both teams approached the season.
"Results really don't matter," he said.
"This is all about participation and giving the players the opportunity to play football and be involved in a wonderful event."
FIDA is a state-wide football league that provides Victorians with an intellectual impairment the opportunity to play a sport they truly love, Australian Rules football.
