After a convincing 88-point win over Kyneton on Sunday in the CVFLW's Indigenous round, the Hawks are now second on the ladder and have won six consecutive games.
Hawks coach Geoff West said the strong form had come from the team's belief in their ability.
"We emphasise our structures and have a belief that if everyone does their best on game day, then the results will naturally come our way," he said.
"Our hardwork, willingness and commitment to learn as a team has helped us succeed."
West said the 13.16 (94) to 1.0 (6) victory over Tigers was an example of the team's development.
"It's a bit exciting as the club only won two games in 2019, so every week is a milestone for us and we now have a foundation to push for finals," he said.
Hawks' Ebony Whiley booted six goals and led the best on ground, while Tigers' Elizabeth Snell booted one with Jordan Savoia leading the votes.
"Ebony is such a crafty forward who understands the importance of being able to read a footy match," West said.
"But not to take away from the whole team and our forward line structure that plays well every week.
"For us it's not about who kicks the goal, but how we were able to get there."
Looking ahead to finals, the Hawks are not taking any opponent lightly.
"There's still five games to go and anything can happen," West said.
"As a club we're pretty excited with where we are at right now."
West was also thrilled with the success of the Indigenous round match.
"It was a great day to have the first Indigenous round for women's footy in Bendigo," he said.
"It's a real credit to both Eaglehawk and Kyneton for taking part."
Meanwhile in the other CVFLW round 10 matches played this weekend, Kerang secured its third win of the season in a narrow three-point thriller over Kangaroo Flat, final scores 5.6 (36) over 5.3 (33).
Blues' Donal Fellows booted two goals with Jemma Meehan leading the best on ground.
Roos' Eloise Gretgrix kicked three while Monique Jones led the best on ground.
Strathfieldsaye ended its losing-streak with a 16-point win over Bendigo Thunder, final scores 7.7 (49) over 5.3 (33).
Storm's Tia Davidge booted three goals with Claire Macgill leading the best on ground.
Thunder's Kylie Wilson booted two and also led best on ground.
Golden Square defeated North Bendigo 21.15 (141) over 0.0 (0), which included 10 goals from Bulldogs' Tiahna Cochrane who also led the best on ground.
North Bendigo's Madelin Jelbart led the team's best on efforts.
