The threat of flooding in Charlton has passed, the SES has confirmed following minor flooding earlier in the week.
The Avoca River at Charlton fell below the minor flood level, which is 4 metres, about 5am on Wednesday.
The Avoca River downstream of Charlton fell below the minor flood level, which is 3.5 metres, on Tuesday evening.
The river level at Charlton was at 3.94 metres and falling just after 11am on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Avoca River downstream of Charlton was at 2.43 metres and falling.
No further flooding is expected in the Avoca River to or downstream of Charlton.
Tuesday, 11.30am
There is minor flooding along the Avoca River to Charlton.
River levels both in the town and downstream of Charlton peaked overnight and are falling.
The flooding is expected to keep easing throughout the day.
The river level at Charlton peaked at 4.69 metres at 11pm on Monday. It is expected to drop below the minor flood level, which is 4 metres, on Tuesday evening.
"Stay informed - monitor your local conditions and remain alert," the SES advised.
The river level at Charlton was falling from 4.45 metres at 10am on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the water level at Yawong Weir was falling from 1.24 metres.
The Avoca River at Archdale Junction was 0.72 metres high and steady at 5.30am on Tuesday.
Monday
Minor flooding is expected to develop along the Avoca River at Charlton on Monday afternoon, the SES has warned.
It follows minor flooding at Yawong Weir on Sunday evening.
The river level at Yawong Weir peaked at 3.28 metres at 3am on Monday.
The floodwater is expected to move downstream, with the Avoca River at Charlton predicted to peak near 4.7 metres overnight.
The river is expected to exceed the minor flood level of 4 metres by Monday afternoon.
Downstream of Charlton, minor flooding is expected in the Avoca River on Monday evening.
The minor flood level downstream of Charlton is 3.5 metres.
The SES has advised people in the area to stay informed, monitor their local conditions and remain alert.
There has been no significant rainfall in the Avoca River catchment in the 24-hours to 9am on Monday, and no significant rain is predicted for the remainder of the day.
The river level at Yawong Weir was at 3.09 metres and falling at 10am on Monday.
The river level in and downstream of Charlton was steady at the time, with 2.2 metres recorded in the town and at 0.51 metres recorded downstream.
