THE Newbridge Cricket Club has fondly remembered a longtime member, good all-rounder and gentle giant after he was killed in a car crash on the weekend.
John Bergman's family have described him as a loving partner and adoring dad.
Newbridge Cricket Club president Mick Rogers said Mr Bergman was a terrific guy, who would go above and beyond to help with anything.

Mr Rogers said he had many fond memories of having a laugh with Mr Bergman, both as a teammate and a workmate.
"He was probably one of the best people to have on the team," Mr Rogers said.
"John never had anything bad to say about anyone, ever. He was always positive.
"He'll be sadly missed by everybody from the club."

A BENDIGO family has paid tribute to a man killed in a weekend car crash, saying he was a fantastic dad who loved his family.
Kangaroo Flat man John Bergman has left behind a partner and six-week-old son.
He was just over a week short of his 30th birthday.
Mr Bergman's partner of nearly 12 years said he was the best person she had ever met, who loved his family so much, and adored his young son.
A cousin of Mr Bergman Rykie Yates said he would do anything he could to help others.
She said he loved cricket, fishing, working on cars, and playing pool.
'"He was really cheeky and funny, always up for a joke and a laugh," she said.
"You'd only need to ring him and he'd be straight there to help you."
Ms Yates said Mr Bergman also left behind his parents and four siblings.
