If he's not on the course having a hit, you will still find him there putting in extra effort as a volunteer keeping the course in top condition.
This week we caught up with Sawers for a chat about all things golf.
Also, stay tuned next week for a story on the Marong GC celebrating its 100th anniversary.

How long have you been playing?: On and off throughout life.
Clubs: Taylormade driver, Spalding irons and putter.
Favourite ball: Cougar

Favourite hole: The 245m par-four sixth at Marong. Off the tee it doglegs to the right, and hopefully the second shot is nice and close to the scrape.
Favourite shot on the course: I like to drive the ball. It feels great when it goes straight down the middle.
Best score: 76 off the stick at Marong
