CARLTON supporter, then player, and now Blues' captain.
Bendigo's Kerryn Harrington has been named a co-captain of Carlton's AFLW team for 2020.
"I have been a Carlton supporter all my life and to now captain this club is just surreal. I'm still getting my head around the prestigious honour of being a captain of the Carlton Football Club," Harrington told the Blues' website on Thursday.
"This group is really special to me and it's a privilege to be voted in by my peers. I can't wait to lead the girls out with 'Loynesy' against Richmond in round one."
Harrington will co-captain the Blues' alongside Katie Loynes.
Harrington joined Carlton in May of 2017 after being signed as a rookie having made the transition from basketball with the Bendigo Spirit.
She starred with the Bendigo Thunder before being picked up by the Blues.
Defender Harrington finished third in the Blues' 2019 AFLW best and fairest and was also selected in the All-Australian team.
