Petcarers is hosting its third annual pet expo, raising money and awareness of the hard work that rescue groups and charities do to improve the lives of domestic animals.
The event also helps promote local pet-related business and creates an educational day for animal lovers.
The day features pet competitions, rescue groups, pet therapy, dog training, vet clinics, along with food and drinks for people and their canine companions.

Photography Exhibition
Michael Boniwell is a local Bendigo landscape photographer whose work is currently on display.
Running until the end of the month, visitors can see the effort and passion of Boniwell's work.
The exhibition features many great pieces, including a captivating 60-inch framed print of Craig's Hut in Mt Stirling, Victoria, under the snow with the light of dawn.

Australian Flower Show
Do you have trouble growing native plants? Head along to this event and ask the experts all your questions.
Visitors will see a display of about 300 different Australian flowers, grown locally in central Victorian gardens.
There's also an opportunity to buy native plants, the rare and collectables, along with books about gardens.
There will also be pottery, photography and wearable art.

Holiday Crafts
Enjoy these school holidays at Kyabram Library. Children can learn how to decorate a draw string calico bag with various coloured fabric markers.
This is a free event for children aged for 5+ and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

River Trip
Bendigo Canoe Club hosts regular supervised community paddles. These paddles are free and for people of all paddling abilities.
Enjoy your Sunday at the Serpentine Creek Canoe trail, developed by the Loddon Shire Council.
Starting at Durham Ox, the 5km-long course takes in six key points of interest with floating trail markers pointing to little-known historical and natural features of the landscape.

Bendi-con
Bendi-Con 2018, the re-branded Bendigo Record Comic and Toy Fair is on again, fundraising for the Peter MacCallum Foundation.
The event features more than 100 tables of pop culture, various special guests such as Chris Kennett (Star Wars Golden Books), Dean Rankine (The Simpsons, Hellboy, Rick and Morty) and more.
Many fan groups will also be represented, including Bendigo and Victorian Doctor Who clubs, The R2 Builders Club, Bendigo Cosplayers, The Bendigo Lego Group and more.
The Bendigo Cosplay Contest will also be back, with prizes up for grabs for best costume.

Harvest Moon Festival
The Bendigo Chinese Association is hosting its annual Harvest Moon Festival.
The event features family activities, free lantern making workshop, Chinese dance workshop, a lantern parade and much more.
The Flight of the Phoenix will open the performances, accompanied by the association’s newest parade dragon, Gwong Loong.
Food and refreshments will be available from 4.30pm.

Spring Gully Dance
Head along to the Spring Gully Hall to enjoy music by Max Farrar, a good program and a delicious home-cooked supper.
This evening event also has a raffle with prizes.
