Herbert, who secured his first professional victory at the tournament in 2020, had a mixed week on the Emirates Golf Club's Majlis course with each of his four rounds including a double-bogey.
However, he used his championship winning knowledge of the challenging layout to finish T-18 at five-under par - seven shots behind tournament winner Viktor Hovland (-12).

During Sunday's final round Herbert started on fire with a blemish-free three-under on the front-nine before carding a one-over on the back to finish the round at two-under.
Fellow countryman Adam Scott was the best Australian in the field with a T-9 finish, followed by Herbert (T-18) and Maverick Antcliff T-66.
It's expected that Herbert will now remain in the Middle East for this week's Asian Tour sanctioned PIF Saudi International at the Royal Greens and Country Club near Jeddah.
Several major winners and former champions of the event - such as Dustin Johnson, Graeme McDowell, Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed - headline the star-studded field that will compete for a share of the $7m prize pool.
