Considered to be regional Australia's oldest club, a highlight throughout the three-day tournament was switching on the new lights for the mixed doubles finals.
More tennis:
The historic moment saw life members and club stalwarts Rae and Brian Heenan have the honour to officially turn on the new lights which set the atmosphere for a spectacular evening of tennis.
Charlton Lawn Tennis Club president Troy Heenan said the tournament was filled with quality matches between standout players - particularly the Charlton Newsagency mixed doubles final.
"Nicole Mullen teamed up with father Michael to overcome four time reigning champions, former Bendigo local Eliza Long and Troy Snow in an enthralling match, decided by a third set super tie-break," Heenan said.
"The other match no one watching could take their eyes off, was the ladies open final played between Nicole and Eliza, Eliza avenging the previous night's defeat with a tough 10-8 victory - what a treat for those in attendance to witness such quality tennis."
Marquee division singles results include Nick Gatusso winning the BQS Group men's open singles and Long (Eliza) securing the Bakery Lane Serviced Apartments ladies open singles.
Gatusso also found success in the Walsh Motors men's doubles alongside Joe Nilhill, while Michelle Balic and Bronwyn Osborne won the Priority Property ladies open doubles.
In total 160 players from as far as Queensland, South Australia, New South Wales and from every corner of Victoria competed at the annual competition.
"The tournament has continued to go from strength to strength and provides a welcoming atmosphere that brings the little township of Charlton alive each and every year," Heenan said.
One of the next major country tournaments coming in the next few months is the 2022 Donald Lawn Tennis Club 68th Labour Day weekend competition.
