The online survey will ask resident's thoughts on ways to further improve road safety and make the area safer for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in the future.
City of Greater Bendigo engineering manager Ian McLauchlan said recent road safety changes to the city centre included introducing a 40km speed limit in the CBD from July, 2018, and installation of new roundabouts and other treatments to improve safety.
"We are now undertaking a survey as the next step to the initial work undertaken by the City and we want to know the community's thoughts and observations about road safety in the city centre," he said.
"The feedback we gather from the survey will help us identify areas for improvement and possible treatments to further improve road safety and make the area safer for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in the future.
"The information will also be used in the development of a new Greater Bendigo Road Safety Strategy."
Mr McLauchlan said the Bendigo city centre was the largest commercial precinct north of the Great Dividing Range.
"People come to the city centre for a range of reasons. While there they shop, eat, work and attend events, so it's important that this busy area is safe for people to move around in whether they are pedestrians, cyclists or motorists.
The survey is available on the City's Let Talk Greater Bendigo community engagement platform until Monday, February 21.
