The Team of the Week for round six is highlighted by some brilliant batting performances.
Three of the top six played in the same game. Clayton Holmes, Ollie Geary and Zane Keighran combined for 246 runs off 165 balls in the Bendigo United versus White Hills game.
Here's our BDCA Team of the Week for round six:
Clayton Holmes (Bendigo United) - Some of the biggest hitting seen at Harry Trott Oval in the Redbacks' win over White Hills. Nine sixes in a stunning 84 off just 39 balls. Conceded just 13 runs off his nine overs with the ball as well.
Cal McCarty (Strtahfieldsaye) - The Jets' number three virtually opened the batting after Strathfieldsaye lost an early wicket. McCarty led his side's run chase against Golden Square with 67 off 111 balls.
Kyle Humphrys (Bendigo) - The classy left-hander bounced back to form and wa sunlucky not to score the first century of the first XI summer. 99 not out off 128 balls to set up Bendigo's win over Huntly-North Epsom.
Ollie Geary (White Hills) - The attacking left-hander fell just four runs short of his second career century against Bendigo United. Eight sixes in a stunning 96 off 65 balls.
Jack Neylon (Strathdale-Maristians) - 78 runs off 67 balls, including five fours and five sixes, in his best score of the first six rounds. Ominous sign for the Suns' rivals for the post-Christmas period.
Zane Keighran (Bendigo United) - Holmes pounded the Demons early before Keighran landed the knockout blow with 66 runs off 61 balls, including five sixes.
Scott Johnson (Golden Square) - the Square veteran is still a tough nut to crack. Kept the Bulldogs in the game against the Jets with 65 not out. He didn't have the gloves on for Square, but he could be the wicket-keeper in this team.
Adam Ward (Huntly-North Epsom) - A quickfire 43 with the bat and 4-49 with the ball in a typical Ward performance. Not enough to get the Power its first win of the season.
Dylan Johnston (Bendigo) - Career-best first XI figures for the medium-pacer, with 5-25 off five overs in the Goers' win over Huntly-North Epsom.
Nathan Fitzpatrick (Bendigo) - The Goers' skipper had a big impact on the game with 4-13 off nine overs, including five maidens and the prized wicket of Ward.
Jed Rodda (Strathfieldsaye) - Early wickets are worth their weight in gold and Rodda got the Jets off to a perfect start by removing Square's openers with only two runs on the board. Finished with 3-16 off his eight overs.
