Christmas celebrations were put on hold for the Woodvale CFA on Saturday when the crew was called to a grass fire while decorating their truck for its annual Santa Run.
Santa and elves Maddison Creely and Trinity Alderton were preparing the truck to take Santa to see families in the Woodvale area when they were called to action.

A Woodvale CFA spokesperson said the call out was to a grass fire that had reignited after three months.
Once the fire was under control, the crews returned to the station to visit 27 Woodvale families and were given a police escort to the Sebastian bus stop by Raywood police.
Other central Victorian brigades have Santa Runs planned for later this week.
Woodvale CFA were one of the brigades called to assist with a haystack fire that had reignited on Monday afternoon.
The fire was brought under control at about 5pm.
