Country Fire Authority crews around the Bendigo region are preparing to host Kris Kringle on various Santa Runs in the lead up to Christmas.
On Saturday, Woodvale CFA and Santa visited children while Golden Square, Strathfieldsaye and Huntly brigades are also planning their routes.
Strathfieldsaye will give Santa a ride around town on December 22 while Golden Square and Huntly have Christmas Eve dates booked with the big man in red.
Golden Square captain Bryan Greenwood said the brigade had planned two routes to visit as many families as possible.
"There is a lot more demand for it and we want to get into the community a bit more," he said. "Because of COVID we can't do things like open days but this is a way of engaging with the community before the Fire Danger Period kicks in.

"It's still a bit restricted but it is great to get back out compared to being shut away from the public. The members are looking forward to it."
