Discovery Centre manager Alissa Van Soest said the acquisition of the robots would help support digital literacy for young people in the region.
More news:
"Having these additional robots has meant Discovery are able to work with even more schools across Victoria," she said.
"Just this week we've been using the robots with our girls in STEM program, Small School Program and Early Years Learning Centres."
Ms Van Soest said term four had been a hectic term with many schools trying to catch up on the opportunities they missed out on throughout the year.
"Without these robots, we would not have had the capacity to support as many schools as we have," she said.
Bendigo MP Lisa Chesters visited the centre to hear how the new equipment would benefit children and school students in the Bendigo electorate.
Other news:
"These new robots will make sure the Discovery Centre continues to play an active role in encouraging and fostering digital literacy for children," she said.
The Discovery Centre is one of 13 central Victorian organisations who received a share of $150,000 through Round 6 of the program, which funds small capital projects in local communities that deliver social benefits.
"The Stronger Communities Programme is an exciting opportunity for our invaluable community organisations, offering support to regional infrastructure, programs and events," Ms Chesters said.
"It is a highly competitive fund so I commend the hard work of the Discovery Centre."
