GREATER Bendigo has recorded 15 news cases of coronavirus overnight, taking the region's total 224.
The Campaspe Shire had a slight increase, recording two new cases and the Macedon Rangers recorded another six.
There were no new cases recorded in the Mount Alexander and Central Goldfields shires.
Earlier
VICTORIA has recorded 1,115 new cases of COVID-19 overnight.
Sadly, there were another nine deaths.
A total of 426 people are currently in hospital, another 82 are in ICU and 50 are on ventilators.
There were just under 10,000 vaccinations administered and the number of people who have had both jabs sits at 4,746,975.
In the last 24 hours, 67,000 test results have been received.
These numbers come Echuca Regional Health said it is well prepared for any increase in the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the community.
Acting chief executive Glenn Howlett said the health service was already supporting around 50 people in the community with COVID-19 through its Hospital in the Home program.
"We expect an increasing case-load in the coming weeks and this specialist team is well- equipped to manage an increase in cases," he said.
"We've been expanding our Hospital in the Home team of doctors and nurses to support the assessment and monitoring of COVID patients at home, and we are well placed," he said.
Dr Howlett said the high vaccination rates across Campaspe Shire put the region in a strong position.
