A Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit spokesperson said it was fantastic to see so many people from Bendigo and the wider region rolling up their sleeves to support the community vaccination effort.
"Our current vaccination rates are something to be proud of and our work continues," the spokesperson said.
"Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones and the broader community.
"It's also our quickest way out of this pandemic, allowing us to freely resume doing the things we love like travelling, socialising, watching live entertainment and playing sport."
The spokesperson encouraged everyone not currently eligible to register for the vaccine to be at the front of the queue when eligibility criteria changes.

Bendigo Community Health Services director of Primary Health Care Services Graem Kelly said it was exceptionally good news for the region.
"Bendigo Health as a major player in this must be congratulated on the work they have done, we ourselves have done over 2000 doses of vaccination," he said.
"The success on the region is highly dependent on the community who are continuing to book and arrange to have the vaccination."
Mr Kelly said vaccination was the forward for not only the community but for also Australia.
"People need to be aware that vaccination is the preferred option and it is a safe way to move forward," he said.
"I would strongly encourage people to take up the options that are there to receive the vaccine."
Earlier
Bendigo is leading the nation with the highest percentage of first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered.
New data released by the federal government this week shows that 52.6 per cent of people aged 15 and over have received their first dose in the region.
More than 25 per cent of people aged 15 and over in the region are fully vaccinated.
Victorian Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said the data showed that Victoria was doing well overall in its vaccination rollout.
"There are some local government areas north of Melbourne that are doing better than a whole bunch of LGAs across Australia," he said.
"In relative terms, we are doing very well."
Other news:
The report lists the percentage of people aged 15 and over who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, by state and territory.
