VICTORIA Police have arrested and charged a 62-year-old Echuca man in relation to an alleged breach of the Chief Health Officer directions.
The alleged breach occurred at a licenced premises in Echuca on July 21.
The man has been charged with breaching the directions of the Chief Health Officer and bailed to face Echuca Magistrates' Court on December 14.

AFTER flouting Victorian lockdown rules, Victoria Police have issued infringement notices to a 62-year-old Echuca man in relation to a breach of Chief Health Officer directions.
Victoria Police confirmed the man had been fined with two breaches relating to incidents on July 19 and 20 at a licensed premises in Echuca.

Under the current restrictions, hospitality venues can open for takeaway while sit-down meals or drinks are not allowed.
Each infringement notice is to the value of $10,904.00.
Victorian Police can issue on-the-spot fines of up to $1,817 for adults and up to $10,904 for businesses for refusing or failing to comply with the emergency directions, a public health risk power direction or with the Public Health Directions to provide information.
Fines of up to $20,000 for individuals and $100,000 for corporations are possible through the court system.
