A BENDIGO aged care home has attributed its non-compliance with quality standards to a documentation issue.
Bentleys Aged Care Bendigo was found non-compliant with two aspects of Australia's aged care quality standards, in a government report from a March audit.
The home's chief executive Barry Hobbs said remediation had taken place and all quality requirements had been met.
"This was a documentation issue which has been dealt with and we will continue to provide quality care to our cherished residents," Mr Hobbs said.

GAPS in wound management, incomplete documentation and failures to plan for care have been identified at a Bendigo aged care home.
Bentleys Aged Care Bendigo has been found non-compliant with two aspects of Australia's aged care quality standards, in a report from a March audit.
But auditors said the site had taken measures to improve the quality of service since their November visit, when the site was found non-compliant with three aspects of the standards.
Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission auditors found the home failed to meet requirements around assessment and planning for residents' health care.
They also found the home failed to make sure residents received safe and effective personal and clinical care, that was best practice, tailored to meet their needs, and optimised their health and wellbeing.
Auditors said Bentleys Aged Care could not show that each resident received safe and effective wound management, or urinary catheter and subcutaneous cannula care.
They said documentation was incomplete in several cases, wound dressing performed inconsistently, and care delivery not always guided by assessment and care plans.
The report found needs-tailored assessment and care planning had not been completed for all residents.
Auditors also found Bentleys Aged Care could not show it completed assessment and care planning for all residents' goals, needs and preferences. They noted two residents at least did not have complete wound care documentation.
Other news:
They also identified gaps in wound management, including wound assessments, care plans, and photos with measurements missing from some files.
Auditors also said not all relevant staff had completed training about documentation of wound care, catheter care, falls and diabetes.
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission found Bentleys Aged Care was non-compliant with three areas of the Aged Care Quality Standards during an audit in November.
These included the requirements around assessment and planning, and safe and effective care.
In November they also found the home non-compliant with effective management of "high impact or high prevalence" risks associated with the care offered to residents.
Auditors said some consumers were placed at heightened risk of harm, because of unsafe management of diabetes, wounds and falls.
The more recent 2021 report stated Bentleys Aged Care was compliant with this requirement. Auditors said the service had also committed to updating its falls management flow chart and processes to include physiotherapy review.
Bentleys Aged Care has been approached for comment.
