While the heaviest falls are expected in the north east of the state, the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting central Victoria will see rain, wind and possible thunderstorms later in the week.
"We'll see a cold front move over Victoria on Wednesday and that will see the northerly winds increase," BOM senior meteorologist Matthew Thomas said.
He said this system would bring rain throughout Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with various amounts falling across the state.
Bendigo is set to see a possible 10 millimeters of rain on Wednesday with temperatures reaching a top of 13 degrees.
The city could also get between 8 and 10 mm on Thursday and 3 to 9 mm of rain on Friday.
"As a low pressure system pushes into western Victoria throughout Thursday, we'll see rain in that part of the state and more wet weather in the northern and central parts on Friday," Mr Thomas said.
"Over the next three days, we're looking at 30 to 80 mm possibly about the north-east, around 15 to 25 mm in the north and west of the state, but just 5 to 15 mm in the Mallee and parts of the northern Wimmera."
Mr Thomas said the Gippsland region would have some welcome relief after their week of wild weather and receive less than 5 mm of rain over the next few days.
The Central Highlands may see wind gusts reaching 60 to 70 kilometers per hour from late Wednesday morning and they will continue through to the afternoon.
The sun is set to peak through to clouds in Bendigo by Monday with only a 10 per cent chance of rain and a partly cloudy forecast.
