Social enterprise WomenCAN Australia will run four pilot programs in conjunction with different universities and TAFEs across the state, including in Bendigo.
Bendigo pilot program manager Margot Spalding said the city's pilot would see 15 to 20 women undertake a Certificate III in Individual Support - aged care.

Ms Spalding said the pilot model was designed in response to a growing number of women finding themselves at risk of homelessness.
She said WomenCAN believed that if women could access education and employment, they would be better equipped to make informed life decisions.
The Bendigo program will be run over seven months with classes scheduled twice a week.
Each participant will be required to undertake placement, with many organisations already offering to take on students.
WomenCAN Facilities Services was founded in 2019 and offers maintenance services delivered by tradeswomen to places where vulnerable women live.
Ms Spalding said the organisation's next phases of the new program would expand to trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting,; cybersecurity; commercial cookery; and transport.
She said the program was a fantastic opportunity for women across the region to gain skills and knowledge.
Ms Spalding said people could visit here for more information and full eligibility details.
