And not just because the Dragons are chasing history this year in their bid to notch up an unprecedented fourth-straight A-grade flag.
This week's postponement of round eight matches was the Dragons' fourth-straight weekend of inactivity.
After defeating South Bendigo by 40-goals on May 8, Sandhurst was drawn to play Castlemaine.
But with the Magpies again not fielding an A-grade team in 2021, it was a bye weekend for the Dragons.
Due to a split round, the Dragons did not play on May 22, while their May 29 contest against Eaglehawk was postponed after Victoria went into COVID lockdown two days' earlier.
There will be no BFNL matches again this weekend, meaning it will have been 35 days between matches for the reigning premiers when they hopefully next take the court over the Queen's Birthday weekend on Saturday, June 12 for a clash against fellow premiership contender Gisborne.
Three-time premiership coach Tamara Gilchrist described the Dragons' plight as 'unavoidable, but very frustrating'.
"You can't help the current situation obviously, but it is frustrating," she said.
"It's hard keeping any consistency I guess, we moved back to doing the Zoom netball training sessions while in lockdown, but it's not the same as being out there on the court.
"It's not the ideal lead-up going into a match against Gisborne.
"Obviously you can't predict COVID, but it does make the draw tricky when Castlemaine does not have a team.
"It's just the way the fixture fell, we had that game leading into a bye, which is generally okay, but we've been caught out a bit this time."
With the league looking to reschedule its round seven and eight contests in the weeks after the Queen's Birthday round, the Dragons will now play Eaglehawk on June 12 and Kyneton on June 19 before the second round of home and away matches kicks in.
Gilchrist said if allowed she would consider running a training session on Saturday.
"The other thing with COVID is it is important to keep connections, people's mental health sometimes suffers if we don't all stay connected," she said.
When the season does resume, Sandhurst will be looking to build on a convincing start that has them well placed at 4-1 for a top-three finish and a strong tilt at another flag..
The only blemish for the Dragons was a two-goal loss to Kangaroo Flat in round four.
They have otherwise posted big 20-plus goal wins over Strathfieldsaye, Maryborough, Golden Square and South Bendigo.

The long-break between games aside, Gilchrist was pleased with her side's progress this season.
"We're happy with where the season is at, we are not concerned too much with anything," she said.
"When we can, we are still training hard and looking forward to playing all the games a second time around just to make sure we're ready if September comes around for us again.
"The two-to-three weeks off we were going to have was a good time for the girls to rest the bodies from any niggles they might have had, so everyone is in good condition at the moment, which is great."
