THE Bendigo Football-Netball League board will plot its next move forward with its clubs tonight having now lost two weekends of competition.
With senior community sport still not permitted in Victoria this weekend, the BFNL has been unable to play rounds seven and eight.
Like all sporting competitions, the BFNL's re-start date is being dictated to by government restrictions that will allow the resumption of senior community sport.
Junior outdoor competition can resume from Friday.
Prior to tonight's meeting BFNL manager Cameron Tomlins said he was hoping the league could resume with its Queen's Birthday games on June 12.
"We are meeting with our clubs tonight and as it stands, nothing is set in stone and everything remains on the table for us," Tomlins said on Thursday afternoon.
"However, it's our intent to be all playing together (senior and junior grades) on the Queen's Birthday weekend if possible.

"It's still to be confirmed, but we'd probably be looking to leave our initial round nine that was scheduled for the Queen's Birthday as those games (Maryborough v South Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat v Castlemaine, Golden Square v Eaglehawk, Sandhurst v Gisborne, Strathfieldsaye v Kyneton).
"Our two major principles at the moment are to get through our first nine matches as quick as we can so as everybody plays everyone once, but also leave the bulk of the fixture as is the best we can."
Provided restrictions allow, to tick off the nine rounds of games while keeping the Queen's Birthday games as originally scheduled, the BFNL would then need to re-fixture its round seven and eight matches over the following fortnight before launching into the second half of the season.
"That would be one of our priority options at the moment," Tomlins said.
"We'd have to look at our ground bookings because the home matches might not line up, so that's what we'll be working through."
Tomlins also indicated there was likely to be a discussion at the meeting around the possibility of pushing the BFNL finals series back if extra time is needed to maximise games played in the wake of last year's abandoned season.
The league has one spare weekend up its sleeve with a general bye on July 3.
The BFNL finals series is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 28, and culminate with the grand final on September 18.
