The five-megawatt facility will cost about $5 million to develop on approximately 10 hectares of farm land between McQualters Road and the Bridgewater-Raywood Rd, just south of the Raywood township.
In their planning report, applicants ACEnergy said the facility would be able to integrate with the Powercor network and all energy produced at the site would remain "within north central Victoria".
ACEnergy is also the developer behind the 100MW solar farm project at Derby, which the Loddon Shire approved in December 2019.

Another solar farm, which could produce 200MW of energy, is under development nearby at Campbells Forest.
Earlier this week, Campaspe Shire councillors approved plans for major solar farm near Rushworth.
That facility would be built in two stages and feature more than a million solar panels.
