Authorities are planning on conducting a 300-hectare burn 5.2 kilometres north-west of Costerfield, near Hall Track.
The burn is planned between Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting.

It is likely to be completed between 10am and 8pm on Sunday.
Smoke might be visible from Costerfield, Costerfield South, Redcastle, Heathcote, Derrinal and Graytown until Friday, April 9.
Forest Fire Management Victoria said staff would be patrolling the burn until it was declared safe.
Nearby residents have been advised to close windows and doors to prevent smoke from entering.
Authorities have warned smoke might make road travel during the burn more hazardous.
Signs might be in place during the burn to slow traffic.
Road users are advised to obey all traffic signs and instructions from fire agency crews near the burn.
The Department of Health had advised anyone experiencing symptoms that might be related to smoke exposure to seek medical advice or phone Nurse on Call on 1300 60 60 24.
