Organisers at the Y Service Club of Bendigo are ready to sell a backlog of books that would otherwise have been sold both last Easter and on the Grand Final long weekend.
Fair co-ordinator Colin Lambie said he could not wait to see the doors open.
"After not running our usual two big book fairs last year we have tens of thousands of books and want to get back to making the same level of donations to charities [that we were before the pandemic]," he said.
"We are having trouble getting in and out of our storage shed."
The fair will run throughout the weekend. People are being asked to book free tickets in order to be COVIDsafe, and warned to allow 15 minutes for check-ins and COVID registrations.
