A KANGAROO Flat mental health hub that opened in September is increasing its operating hours in an effort to offer more appointment times.

The HeadToHelp Hub, operated by Bendigo Community Health Services, is designed help people struggling to cope during the coronavirus pandemic by offering clinical advice, referral and wraparound care.
Increased hours mean it will now stay open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and offers appointments between 10am and 2pm on Saturdays.

When the opened, BCHS chief executive Gerard Jose said staff believe HeadToHelp can make a real difference in the community.
"Bendigo Community Health Services welcomes the opportunity to further support people in need in our community through the new HeadtoHelp hub," he said.
"We are well aware there are people out there struggling through this Coronavirus pandemic who are not getting the help they need and this initiative is the opportunity to reach out to them and provide that valuable support."
The hub is one of 15 created in Victoria and was supported from MurrayPHN. It is funded by the federal government's $31.9 million mental health support package.
