An advice warning has been issued for a grass fire that was burning along the Midland Highway at Eganstown, near Daylesford. As of 2pm, there were at least 10 CFA units fighting the blaze, which was first reported just after 1.30pm. It is believed there were multiple separate fires alight at the same time. More news: Firefighters control blaze at Strathallan Firefighters were able to get on top of the blaze about 2.15pm. There was not any threat to the community, with the warning area only covering a few hundred metres. The fire was travelling in a south-easterly direction. Police are on scene as there is a considerable amount of smoke in the area. People are asked to avoid the area.
