A WOMAN who allegedly ripped the hair out of another woman during a Golden Square assault has been denied bail.

Amber Snelson, 27, made the application at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court earlier this week.
She has been charged with 24 offences, including theft, unlawful assault, stealing a motor vehicle, reckless conduct endangering life, and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

The court heard on November 2 this year, Ms Snelson allegedly entered the Golden Square property while a woman was sleeping in the lounge room.
Ms Snelson allegedly stood over the victim, woke her, and started arguing with her.
Police alleged Ms Snelson then punched the woman in one arm while she was still on the ground.
The victim left the lounge area and went to her bedroom where she closed the door.
It was alleged the victim heard Ms Snelson and other people speaking at the opposite end of the house.
The court heard Ms Snelson then went to the closed bedroom door and tried to open it, but the victim held it closed.
After repeatedly pushing at the door, Ms Snelson allegedly opened the door enough that her hand could fit through.
Police alleged Ms Snelson grabbed the victim by the head and pulled out a clump of hair.
The court heard Ms Snelson left the room and went outside the property. She allegedly grabbed a pair of garden shears and went to the victim's bedroom window.

It was alleged Ms Snelson struck the window until it smashed. The court heard the victim was inside the room during the alleged incident.
The court heard Ms Snelson was on bail at the time of the alleged offending.
Magistrate Alan Spillane also released court documents detailing police allegations of an incident in February 6 this year.
It was alleged that while Ms Snelson was a passenger in a car, she physically and verbally abused the driver, grabbing the victim in a headlock and pulling his hair.
Police also alleged Ms Snelson and another passenger pulled at the steering wheel and pushed on the gear stick, causing the driver to panic and pull over.
It was alleged Ms Snelson kicked at the driver's side window, causing it to smash.
Ms Snelson also allegedly smashed a door at a Pyramid Hill supermarket on February 7 and stole items of clothing from two Kerang stores on February 8.

The police prosecutor told the court Ms Snelson needed to meet exceptional circumstances to be released on bail.
Leading Senior Constable Lynette Jenkins told the court Ms Snelson had not complied with the Court Integrated Services Program while on bail.
She said she was not confident Ms Snelson would comply with any other programs or bail conditions.
Defence lawyer Robert Morgan told the court Ms Snelson had stable accommodation options if she was released.
He said Ms Snelson would not be able to contest the charges until at least February next year and therefore would be in custody for an extended period of time.
But the magistrate denied Ms Snelson's bail application, saying she was an unacceptable risk of further offending.
Ms Snelson was remanded in custody. She is due to return to the Bendigo Magistrates' Court later this month for a mention hearing.
