We have been locked up as if we live in a city with the virus.
We live in rural Victoria close to the western border, have a COVID-19 test every week and do absolutely everything in South Australia.
There aren't any cases in any of the shires abutting the border.

Checkpoint concerns
Yesterday I drove a very good friend to an appointment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with an email authority from her doctor to say I could be her driver.
On the way home we were quite nervous knowing we would be going through a checkpoint and had our email ready and our reasons for the travel.
What I could not believe as we were going through the checkpoint were the amount of soldiers all just sitting next to each other without a care in the world and swearing among themselves having personal conversations.
When we arrived to the police we only had to show my driver's licence.
I feel I could have been a Melbourne resident heading to Castlemaine and would have had no trouble doing so.
My thoughts are that these soldiers and police are being paid to do this job but not doing it very well.

Danny Boy - a parody
Oh Danny boy, the voters now are calling,
From home to home right across Victoria wide
The winter's gone and all the smooth words are failing
It's you must go, for us to restore our pride.
But come ye back after the hotel quarantine inquiry,
Or yet another media briefing put on by you, for show
It's we'll be here waiving ballot's in sunshine not in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, can't wait for you to go !
But when ye come now Victoria's economy is dying,
So torn apart, today's kids and theirs debt free will never be
You'll come to us, with hand held out and start to crying
And kneel and say 'Where's a big fat pension just for me?'
And all your loyal factional supporters will naturally agree,
Then you can bend and accept a plum job in Paris or in London,
And we shall fall asleep until at least, it's morning tea!
