The number of active coronavirus cases in central Victoria remains unchanged at two, health officials confirmed this afternoon.
The active cases are in the Greater Bendigo and Macedon Ranges local government areas.
There are no active cases in the Mount Alexander, Central Goldfields, Campaspe, Loddon or Buloke shires.
The rolling 14-day average for new cases across regional Victoria has fallen to 2.9.
Earlier today, the state government confirmed that primary school students in regional Victoria can return to the classroom from October 5 - a week earlier than previously indicated.
"I think socially for all of the kids, it's going to be fantastic," Kennington Primary School principal Travis Eddy said. "Obviously there will still be social distancing and other operational matters that will be in place."

Regional Victoria will take the third step on the COVID-19 recovery roadmap and reopen this morning.
Overnight, Victoria recorded 28 new coronavirus cases and eight deaths.
It takes the state's total tallies to 19,971 COVID-19 cases and 745 deaths.

The daily average for regional Victoria has sat below five for almost a week allowing parts of the state under stage three restrictions to exit lockdown.
It means from today, hospitality venues will open their doors and be able to host 50 people in outdoor dining settings and up to 10 seated patrons per room inside venues.
Retail businesses will also reopen, gathering limits will increase to groups of 10 outdoors and households can have five visitors from one household at a time.
