Bendigo on the Hop, White Night and the Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival have yet to pull the pin on their 2020 events.
Bendigo Beer president Trevor Birks said the team hopes to present Bendigo on the Hop by the end of they year on a smaller scale.
"We had a chat among ourselves and the city has had such a rough year, it would good to be able do something on a smaller scale," he said.
"At this stage (we hope to) run Australia's best winter beer festival in spring or summer. We definitely want to fit in before end of year, that's ideal plan.
"I think it would be wise this year to focus on local attendance and the immediate Greater Bendigo region for ticket holders. That is one idea we are throwing around."
Mr Birks said if the festival didn't go ahead it would affect how Bendigo Beer would be involved in other events in the region.
"We almost need to (have it) because Bendigo on the Hop generates money for Bendigo to run all it's activities or sponsorship," Mr Birks said.
Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival director Colin Thompson said the festival committee will assess the potential of going ahead at a meeting on Sunday.
"We're having a committee meeting this Sunday and will assess where we're at (and) how restrictions are going due to the unfortunate spread of COVID in Melbourne," he said. "It's still hard to say what things will look like come November, but it's getting admittedly tougher to stay optimistic. Hopefully the six-week lock down will do the trick though.
"In the meantime we'll keep taking our Blues Trams and Old Church gigs one month at a time; keep supporting artists through live streaming events and try to stay engaged with our audience who are all as desperate as we are to get back to enjoying live gigs in venues with our friends."
A Visit Victoria spokesperson said a decision on whether White Night will go ahead is expected in the coming weeks.
"Visit Victoria and its appointed event production company continue to monitor government advice and restrictions to assess the feasibility of the event and expect a decision to be made over the coming weeks," they said.
All three events attract thousand of people to the region as well as benefiting Bendigo's economy.

Mr Birks said working to present local events was important for the community.
"Obviously, like any business, when something happen to affect your cash flow, the first response is to protect your own affairs," he said. "But this time, we need to get out and help each other, it will benefit all of us if it means events are still running and viable beyond COVID-19. (Other event organisers) I spoke to all agree that even if we look like we might lose money, running something will be good for the community."
Bendigo Beer was formed in 2011 and is a not-for-profit organisation. This year is set to be the seventh year of Bendigo on the Hop.
"Our group has been about promoting Bendigo and using beer as vehicle to do that," Mr Birks said.
"This is our seventh year (hosting the festival), in the last couple years large numbers of people have been from outside Bendigo. We have punched above our weight in terms contributing to the local economy."
