The case was reported in the Campaspe Shire. It is the first new case in central Victoria for more than 10 days.
It is the only active COVID-19 case in central Victoria. It's one of 49 known cases active around the state.

Nine of the new cases are linked to two outbreaks, and one has been detected in a returned traveler in hotel quarantine.
One cases was identified through routine testing, another is under investigation.
It is not clear which of these cases is the one linked to the Campaspe Shire.
It brings the number of cases across all time in central Victoria to 34.
Victoria has had 1732 reported cases of COVID-19. A total of 1661 people have recovered.
