A MAN is fighting for life after a crash near Mitiamo on Sunday night.
The man is in a critical condition at Royal Melbourne Hospital, after a crash in which a pole was impaled in his body.
He was airlifted to Bendigo for emergency surgery before being airlifted to a Melbourne hospital.
Earlier
A MAN has been airlifted twice after crashing into a bridge in Mologa on Sunday night.
Police say the 35-year-old male hit the bridge on Yarra Walla East Road about 10.15pm.
He was trapped for some time, after a metal pole impaled him and the vehicle.
OTHER NEWS:
He was airlifted to Bendigo for an emergency surgery, before being airlifted again on to Melbourne.
The man's condition is as yet unknown.
He was the only occupant of the vehicle. No other cars were involved.
Road rescue, police and ambulance all attended the crash.
