That dream is now a reality with the popular bakery starting up a drive thru bakery this week.
Located at the site of the former Newmarket Hotel, all of the traditional favourites will be on sale.
"We sell bread, pies and sweet treats," Mr Wilson said.
The bakery continues to bake its goods in Elmore and drives them to Bendigo each morning.
Elmore Bakery expects to be operating its drive thru set up for at least the next four weeks.
"After that time we will see what else we can do in Bendigo or try something else," Mr Wilson said.
Convenience and innovation are two reasons the bakery's owners decided the drive thru set up was worth trialing.
"Everyone wants convenience these days and this is the perfect way to see if we can operate a drive thru bakery," Mr Wilson said.
You can spend your dough on Monday to Friday from 6am until 4pm, with weekend opening times to be announced.
The drive thru Elmore Bakery is located at the Newmarket Hotel, corner of Nolan Street and Charleston Road, Bendigo.
