Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters says her office will continue to operate as normal and assist with federal matters in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This is a difficult time. My priority is to help local workers, businesses and families," Ms Chesters said.
"It's also important to ensure vulnerable locals are supported."
To date, NSW senator Andrew Bragg, Queensland senator Susan McDonald and Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton are among those who have tested positive to coronavirus.
Former Prime Minister Julia Gillard is also self-isolating after recently coming into contact with Sophie Trudeau, the wife of Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.
Ms Chesters will be one of at least 60 MPs and 22 senators who will not attend Parliament next week, to contain the disease's spread in Canberra.
The federal government announced a $17 billion stimulus package last week, which includes relief for lower income Australians in the form of a one-off $750 payment.
Ms Chesters said stimulus payments need to made sooner rather than later.
"The stimulus packaged announced by the government needs to hit bank accounts quickly, however it does need to be passed in Parliament first," she said.
"Parliament will meet next week and the stimulus package will be fast tracked."
Concerns for casual workers, the Centrelink workforce and businesses were also flagged by Ms Chesters.
"I'm also worried about the lack of support for sole traders and the self-employed," she said.
"Businesses are already struggling, so cash flow support needs to be released as soon as possible.".
Chaos in supermarkets and retail outlets across Australia has led to Ms Chesters emphasising the need for courtesy.
"I know supermarkets are incredibly busy at the moment and stock is limited.
"It is not retail workers' fault that there is no stock on shelves.
"At the end of the day, these workers are someone's loved one. They are doing their best," Ms Chesters said.
The Department of Health's most recent report reveals there are 375 confirmed coronavirus cases in Australia, with 71 in Victoria.
Of those cases, five people have died.
