The City of Greater Bendigo has amended its provisions for tomorrow night's council meeting to enable people who do want to attend to be able to do so.
In a statement issued today, the city said Wednesday's council meeting would be open to the public, but residents were strongly discouraged from attending.
"There will be less chairs available for seating in the gallery, with further seating available downstairs in the Town Hall where a screen showing the live stream will be set up," the city said.
The meeting would still be live streamed on Facebook and broadcast on Phoenix 106.7FM or online at www.phoenixfm.org.au

Members of the public are not permitted to attend this Wednesday's City of Greater Bendigo ordinary meeting to protect against the spread of novel coronavirus.
Instead, the meeting will be livestreamed from the council's Facebook page, and as always, broadcast live on Phoenix 106.7FM.
"Although we have no current cases of COVID-19 in Greater Bendigo, to help limit the spread of any possible infection and to help people maintain good health and wellbeing, we ask residents to stay home and watch online or listen to Phoenix FM," mayor Margaret O'Rourke said.
Those who want to submit a question for question time can do so online here, before 3pm on Wednesday.
The livestream will begin at 6pm.
Advice from the Chief Medical Officer and Victorian government will guide arrangements for the April meeting.
