At the front entrance to the hospital there is only one - unless you want to walk a mile uphill from the car park.
It is disgusting and difficult.
There needs to be a lot more around that area.

Independence mourned
What a breath of fresh air Annie Young's letter "Coronavirus - a wake-up call" is.
I've been banging on about the loss to Australia of our manufacturing, land, water and everything else that is up for sale for nearly 30 years.
It seems someone else has seen it too.
The loss of our independence is such a blow for our nation and kids.
Well done Annie.

Positive policing
I was lucky enough to witness a most positive act on International Women's Day, which I suspect was not at the forefront of the person influencing Australia's future... so subtly or powerfully... for all of us.
A friendly police officer entered a Bendigo coffee venue and was approached by two small girls asking about being a "real" policewoman.
I heard her say "what are your names? You need to be committed and probably taller and you can do it, but it's hard work."
So well said.
I bet I inadvertently met one of the best officers in the Victoria Police.
Great experience.

Think smart, not big
The answer to our problems is not greater, but more sensible production, growth and immigration.
We need production that doesn't create junk and that doesn't harm the environment.
We need growth that doesn't drain the water resources dry, and we need a population that can be sustained.
We had great advantage in the past, but by lax, irresponsible attitude let it slip away.
We kept bringing in migrants to perform the harsh physical and mental tasks, while we were taking it easy.
