BENDIGO will host a big day of lawn bowls finals action on Monday featuring the BBD's champion of champions and men's state triples.
The semi-finals in the men's champion of champions will feature Lawrence Brooks (Bendigo) taking on Daryl Rowley (Inglewood), while Greg Brain (Castlemaine) will clash with Daniel Taig (North Bendigo) for a berth in the final.
In the women's Susan Howes (Kangaroo Flat) will battle Stephanie Priest (Bendigo), and Nancy Tate (Marong) will play Taylah Marron (Bendigo East).
The day's action, which begins at 9.30am, will also include the semi-finals of the men's triples featuring Aaron Tomkins (Bendigo East) against Brad Holland (South Bendigo) and Ian Ross (composite) meeting David Keenan (Kangaroo Flat), followed by the final.
The BBD has also announced its team for the Provincial Championships to be played at South Bendigo on February 2, with the six skippers to be Keenan, Darren Burgess, Aaron Tomkins, Holland, Lee Schraner and Brad Marron.
Meanwhile, round 10 of the BBD weekend pennant season continues Saturday following Friday night's top-of-the-ladder showdown under lights between Bendigo East and South Bendigo.
The BBD needs some upsets on Saturday, such as Golden Square upstaging Kangaroo Flat and Bendigo toppling Eaglehawk, to spark up the finals race given there's a 28-point buffer between the fourth-placed Hawks to the rest of the competition.
Saturday's games get under way at 1.30pm.
