WITH 97 wins across stints at Bendigo East and South Bendigo, Brad Holland has taken out the No.1 spot for most skipper victories in Bendigo Bowls Division weekend pennant over the past decade.
Holland ended the decade six wins clear of Simon Carter (91), who also skipped fort two clubs during the past 10 seasons at Kangaroo Flat and Eaglehawk.
The only other skipper with more than 80 wins for the decade was Ian Ross with 89, the bulk of which were skipped at Bendigo before his defection to Bendigo East this season.
Throughout the timeframe - which spans the 2009-10 season through to the eight rounds played this season - 16 skippers notched at least 50 wins, including Marc Smith, who skipped the most premierships of the decade.
Smith, who won 68 games for the decade (No.6), skipped in five premiership sides - four at Bendigo East and one at Golden Square.
Golden Square's fairytale 2013-14 premiership - the side had been sixth heading into the last round of the season - was one of only two flags through the decade not won by either the only flag of the decade not won by either Bendigo East or Bendigo.

As well as his decade-best 97 wins, Holland also skipped in four Bendigo East premierships, while Andrew Brown, Darren Burgess and Ross each skipped three flags.
Using 40 games as a minimum (or three seasons), the skipper with the decade's best winning percentage was David Keenan's 65.3 per cent for Bendigo East and Kangaroo Flat, followed by Ross' 63.1 per cent, Burgess' 61.4 per cent and Smith's 60.7.
From a team perspective it was a decade dominated by Bendigo East, which won five premierships (2010, 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2019) and made at least the preliminary final in all 10 seasons.
Bendigo East (112) and Eaglehawk (105) are the only teams through the decade with more than 100 wins.
