A COMBINED 3788 runs, 279 wickets, 55 catches and 10 run outs has Strathdale-Maristians' all-rounder Cameron Taylor a resounding No.1 for most Addy BDCA MVP points for the 2010-19 decade.
Using a system of one point per run, 20 points per wicket, 10 points per catch and 15 points per stumping and run out, Taylor was a convincing decade leader with 10,068 points.
Taylor finished more than 1500 points clear of his nearest rival, Kangaroo Flat's Adam Burns (8520), in what was a decade where he won the BDCA Cricketer of the Year three times as well as four Suns' premierships.
Taylor topped the Addy's MVP points rankings four times during the decade, with his tally of 1561 points last season (461 runs, 49 wickets and 12 catches) the most of any player over the previous 10 years.
Golden Square's Scott Johnson (twice), Strathdale-Maristians' Ben DeAraugo, Strathfieldsaye's Ben Devanny, Sandhurst's Craig Howard and Bendigo's Kyle Humphrys are the other players who topped the Addy's season MVP rankings during the decade.
Taylor's 279 wickets are the BDCA's most for the decade, while his 3788 runs rank No.4.
No.2 ranked Burns' 8520 points are made up of 3190 runs, 233 wickets, 52 catches and five runs outs.
Ben Gunn (8015), Craig Howard (7970) and Ben DeAraugo (7785) round out the decade's top five.
The MVP points leaders at each club were Mark Ryan (Bendigo, 5234); Miggy Podosky (Bendigo United, 6488); Andrew Smith (Eaglehawk, 6241); Scott Johnson (Golden Square, 6999); Brett Elvey (Huntly-North Epsom, 4684); Adam Burns (Kangaroo Flat, 8520); Craig Howard (Sandhurst, 5574); Cameron Taylor (Strathdale-Maristians, 10,068); Ben Devanny (Strathfieldsaye, 7508) and Rhys Irwin (White Hills, 5201).
In total, 544 players earned at least one Addy MVP point for the decade.
