Lanterns, Chinese dance and dragons will parade through Bendigo this weekend for the Harvest Moon Festival.
Hosted by the Bendigo Chinese Association, the evening festival will give families a chance to participate in workshops from 4pm ahead of a lantern parade at 5.15pm.
The festival celebrates the gathering or reunion of family and friends, gives thanks to a plentiful harvest and hopes for longevity and prosperity in the the future.
Gwong Loong, the BCA's Bright Dragon, will join the performances from 5.30pm.
Performances this year have a "Flight of the Phoenix" theme - a symbol of harmonious relationships.
The Harvest Moon Festival is at the Dai Gum San Chinese Precinct from 4pm on Saturday, September 14.
