A V/Line spokesperson said the network would continue to work to improve its results.
Punctuality in May 2019 was more than 10 per cent higher than in May 2018. That month V/Line delivered 76.9 per cent of services on time.
Across the state 86.5 per cent of services were on time in May.
V/Line exceeded its service delivery target of 96 per cent on the Bendigo line during May. It delivered 97.8 per cent of services, slightly above the statewide average.
