Almost 22,000 people have already voted in the districts encompassing central Victoria during the first week of early voting, ahead of the state election.

The Victorian Electoral Commission data shows 21,799 votes have been made in Bendigo East, Bendigo West, Macedon, Murray Plains and Ripon since early voting opened on Monday, November 12.
The VEC has also received 301 postal votes from the five districts.

Bendigo East has seen the most early votes cast, where 5880 people have had their say already.
Most postal votes have come from Macedon.
In total, there have been 5269 postal vote applications so far, not including those cancelled.
Across Victoria, 542,601 early votes have so far been cast – a significant increase on the 298,818 early votes recorded in the 2014 election.
Election day is Saturday, November 24.

- Murray Plains: 22 Sturt Street, Echuca
