Candidates for Bendigo East have made their pitch to voters in one of the few candidates forums to take place in town ahead of the state election.
Three candidates for Bendigo East, Labor’s Jacinta Allan, the Nationals’ Gaelle Broad and the Greens’ Nakita Thomson answered questions, with a scorecard soon to be published on topics including the environment, sustainable active travel and public transport and community/food/health.

The scorecard is expected to be published online in coming days and will be available at the Bendigo Sustainability Group’s website.
Liberal party candidate Ian Ellis and Democratic Labour Party candidate Helen Leach were not in attendance.
A forum featuring Bendigo West candidates will take place next Tuesday from 7.30pm at the Kangaroo Flat Rotary Club Rooms.
The forums have been put together by the Bendigo Sustainability Group, the Commoners Coop and Bike Bendigo.
