THE AFL Central Victoria region’s first three grand finals have ticked just over $110,000 in gate takings.
Of the three grand final days held so far, North Central is the only league that has had an improved gate on last year.
Despite the horrendous weather conditions in which last Saturday’s grand final day at Charlton was played, the North Central gate of $39,000 was slightly up on 2017’s figure of $38,000 at Boort.
The Loddon Valley grand final was also played last Saturday in atrocious conditions at Bridgewater, with its gate of $31,000 just down on last year’s $32,000 at Serpentine.
Despite ideal conditions, the Heathcote District league grand final gate on September 8 of $41,000 was well down on last year’s $50,000.
Combined the North Central, Loddon Valley and Heathcote District leagues have had grand final gates of $111,000 compared to $120,000 last year.
Bendigo league grand final day is this Saturday at the QEO.
