Creating a market
The Creators Market is back, bringing together over 60 handmade crafts and the artists, celebrating locally made products.
Previously held at the Bendigo Town Hall, the event will now be bigger and better with the Bendigo Stadium allowing for more space.
The market features clothing, homewares, toys, bathroom products, beauty products and a wide variety of food. There will also be live music for the extra entertainment factor.

Toe tapping Sunday
Change up your weekend by attending a Sunday afternoon dance.
Held at a local hall, this event will feature music by Ian Stewart and a home cooked afternoon tea. The dance will also have an interesting program. To complete the day, there will also be a raffle with prizes. Admission is $10 and all are welcome.

Hatching Hens
Take your children to an educational event at the local library by observing how chickens come to life.
The days feature incubating chicken eggs, watching the eggs hatch and seeing how chicks eat, play and sleep.
There will also be special chicken themed stories. Register your interest here.

Textile Treat
Head to Castlemaine this weekend for an exhibition of textiles by contemporary artists from all over Australia.
A selection of the textiles will be displayed in the historic house, alongside a collection of needlework, mostly made by the Leviny women who lived at Buda from 1863 - 1981.
Cost: $7 Textiles admission or $15 Textiles and Lace Vignettes exhibition (joint ticket to exhibition and Buda House).

National Tree Day
Community members are invited to help plant native flora on Sunday for National Tree Day.
The day will also include children’s art activities and a free BBQ lunch.
Please bring reusable coffee cups to minimize waste.

Family History
August is National Family History Month and regional libraries have classes to help you trace your family.
Different sessions are available throughout August at all branches. All sessions are free.
Topics covered in the classes range anywhere from Intro to Online Research to Military Records with many more included.
