INTERNATIONAL netball star Bec Bulley will head homewards this weekend to host a series of clinics at Elmore Football Netball Club.
The former Australian Diamonds, who played her junior netball at Calivil United and later Sandhurst, will oversee three 75 minute sessions for under-15/17, B-grade and B-reserve, and A-grade and B-grade players on Sunday.
Bulley, who retired in 2015 as a three-time premiership player, and a world champion after the Diamonds’ World Cup final win against New Zealand, made a stunning return to elite-level netball during last year’s inaugural Suncorp Super Netball season.
The 35-year-old accepted an offer to play for Giants Netball and returned to the court less than 12 months after giving birth to her first child Indie.
Bulley’s Giants made it all the way to the grand final before they were beaten by Sunshine Coast Lightning.
She has signed a one-year contract to continue playing with the Giants.
Bulley’s arrival in Elmore continues a big few days for the club.
Collingwood Magpies defensive coach and former NSW Swifts head-coach Rob Wright will host a skills session for Bloods players at the Queen Elizabeth Oval courts from 7pm on Thursday.
It is Wright’s second visit to the region this pre-season after he did a similar session with Kangaroo Flat last month.
Sunday’s sessions at Elmore Recreation Reserve have been pre-booked.
Times are: Under-15 and under-17 (8.30am-9.45am); B-grade and B-reserve (9.45am-11am); A-grade and B-grade (11.15am-12.30pm).
